Snorri Heimisson has conducted Lúðrasveit verkalýðsins since the spring of 2007. He graduated from the Reykjavík Music Academy as a flute teacher in the spring of 1997. He also took Clarinet and Bassoon lessons as a second and third instrument while studying to become a flute teacher. In the fall of 1998 he enrolled at The Royal Danish Academy of Music and graduated in 2003 with a Diploma in Bassoon playing. Today Snorri Heimisson is a Bassoonplayer and a flute teacher. He has performed with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Icelandic Opera, the Contemperory music group "Aton" and the chamber music group "Ísafold" just to name a few groups and projects that Snorri Heimisson has been involved with.
